Skip to contentBy booking or participating in a class, workshop or activity at Tamborine Glass Blowing, you acknowledge and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Glass classes and workshops are available to participants aged 14 years and over, unless otherwise stated in the individual class description.
All participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible paying adult unless prior approval has been given by Tamborine Glass Blowing.
Every participant must complete the required registration and waiver before participating.
Classes must be paid for in full through our online booking system unless alternative arrangements have been agreed to by Tamborine Glass Blowing.
We do not sell or distribute our customers’ personal information.
Glass blowing, torchwork, kiln fusing and mosaic activities involve heat, open flames, molten glass, sharp glass, kilns, tools and equipment. Appropriate clothing and safe behaviour are essential.
Closed-toe shoes must be worn.
Cotton or other natural-fibre clothing is strongly recommended.
Long or short-sleeved T-shirts, pants or shorts are suitable. Loose sleeves and loose-fitting clothing and skirts should be avoided.
Long or loose hair must be securely tied back before participating.
Tamborine Glass Blowing will provide appropriate protective equipment where required, including safety glasses and heat-resistant gloves.
Participants must wear any PPE provided when instructed and follow all safety instructions given by Tamborine Glass Blowing staff.
For the safety of everyone in the studio, participants must not attend or participate in any class, workshop or studio activity while intoxicated or impaired by alcohol, recreational drugs or any other substance that may affect their ability to participate safely.
Tamborine Glass Blowing reserves the right to refuse participation to any person who, in the reasonable opinion of our staff, appears intoxicated, impaired or otherwise unable to safely participate.
This decision is entirely at the discretion of Tamborine Glass Blowing staff and will be made with the safety of the participant, our staff and other guests as the priority.
If you arrive intoxicated or impaired and are refused participation, your booking will be treated as a late cancellation/no-show. No refund, credit, transfer or rescheduling will be provided.
Where alcohol is permitted as part of a specific event or workshop (Mosaic/Kiln Fusing), it may only be consumed in designated areas and at designated times as directed by Tamborine Glass Blowing staff.
Tamborine Glass Blowing reserves the right to stop a participant’s involvement at any time if their behaviour or level of impairment creates a safety concern.
Participants must also be capable of personally completing and signing their Liability Waiver and Risk Acknowledgement.
If a participant is too intoxicated or impaired to complete their own waiver, understand the waiver or follow safety instructions, they will not be permitted to participate.
Safety comes first.
Every participant must personally complete and sign the required Liability Waiver and Risk Acknowledgement before participating in any class, workshop or studio activity.
The information provided on the waiver must belong to the person who will be participating in the activity.
Another adult, partner, friend or member of the booking group cannot complete or sign the waiver on behalf of an adult participant.
For participants under 18 years of age, the waiver must be completed by their parent or legal guardian.
If an adult participant is unable to personally provide their details, read and understand the waiver, acknowledge the safety requirements and sign the waiver at the time of the class, they will not be permitted to participate.
If Tamborine Glass Blowing reasonably believes that a waiver has been completed or signed by somebody other than the participant named on the waiver, we reserve the right to refuse participation until the participant can personally complete the required documentation.
If the participant is unable to personally complete the waiver and therefore cannot participate, the booking will be treated as a late cancellation/no-show. No refund, credit, transfer or rescheduling will be provided.
By signing the waiver, the participant confirms that they:
have personally provided the information contained in the waiver;
have read and understood the waiver and safety requirements;
understand the inherent risks associated with the activity;
are able to understand and follow instructions provided by Tamborine Glass Blowing staff; and
are voluntarily agreeing to participate.
Tamborine Glass Blowing reserves the right to refuse participation where staff reasonably believe that a participant is unable to understand the waiver, provide informed acknowledgement of the risks or safely participate in the activity.
Operating a hot glass studio requires considerable preparation, staffing, materials and energy.
Our furnace operates at temperatures of approximately 1000°C, and significant costs can be incurred before your class even begins.
For this reason, class and workshop bookings are non-refundable.
In the unlikely event that Tamborine Glass Blowing needs to cancel your class or workshop, your booking value will be transferred to another available class or date.
Tamborine Glass Blowing is not responsible for travel costs, accommodation, reservation fees or other expenses incurred as a result of a cancelled or rescheduled class.
If you cancel within 14 days of your booking or fail to attend your scheduled session, the amount paid will be forfeited.
No-shows are not eligible for a refund, credit or transfer.
Private lessons and private bookings are prepaid and non-refundable.
A minimum of 14 days’ notice is required to request a reschedule.
The following non-refundable rescheduling fees apply:
Glass Blowing: $175
Torchwork: $100
Kiln Fusing / Mosaics: $75
Any remaining value of the original booking can then be transferred to an available future class.
Please check our online booking calendar for suitable dates and contact us with your preferred option.
Rescheduling is subject to availability.
Hot glass pieces must undergo an annealing process before they can safely be collected. This generally requires approximately 12 hours.
There are two options for receiving your finished pieces:
Return to the studio at the arranged time to collect your work; or
Have your work posted to you for the applicable postage and handling fee.
Please note that handmade glass can occasionally crack or fail during the cooling, annealing or kiln-firing process. This is an inherent risk when working with glass.
Any pieces left uncollected at the studio for more than six months will become the property of Tamborine Glass Blowing and may be recycled.
Our product returns policy applies for 30 days from the date of purchase.
To be eligible for a return, an item must be unused, in its original condition and, where applicable, in its original packaging.
Proof of purchase is required.
Please contact us at hello@tamborineglassblowing.com.au before returning an item.
Do not return an item without first contacting Tamborine Glass Blowing.

Gift cards and unused gift card balances are not redeemable for cash except where required by law. Gift Cards have a 3 year expiry.
Unless the item is faulty or we are otherwise required to cover the cost under Australian Consumer Law, customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
