Purple Glass Mushroom – Made in Australia by talented Aussie glass artists Faerie Fleur. Glows in the Dark.

Purple Glass Mushroom glows in the dark, and Handcrafted glass mushrooms are, mouth-blown from molten glass. Each Purple Glass Mushroom is completely unique from the next. Making the glass mushrooms top from 1100 degrees centigrade, where the molten glass sits, we gather the glass onto our pipe. Adding color, shaping and blowing, tooling. Reheating the glass all the while, thrusting it into the intense flame. Once the desired shape is reached, we “knock it off”. and superheat to finish. The glass is put away to relax in 520 degrees Celsius heat- called the annealing process, which takes a further 12 hours. The base of this Mushroom is added cold, to encase the magic glow-in-the-dark powder. The mushroom base is the perfect size to keep it stable the whole festive season. Just as every fairy is unique, so is each of these adorable glass mushrooms.
Each piece is lovingly to be as unique as you. We love blowing glass and take great pride in creating such works for you. Do you want to know a little secret? Once you have tried glassblowing for yourself, you will see the magic that comes together in the moments of making your own piece. It really is exhilarating when you finish a piece and “get to put it away”.
I love this purple glass mushroom for its pretty shape and colour. I made this glass mushroom in two parts pieces, with a solid glass base, to hold some magic,,,, Glow in the Dard powder, which makes it Glow In The Dark.

I was gifted a glass blowing course for my birthday and it was the best present EVER! Faerie is a wonderful teacher. She is incredibly talented and generous when sharing her knowledge. Faerie is also incredibly patient and kind. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to have a wonderful few hours, learning an awesome art from an awesome person.
Wow! What an experience! From the heat of the oven to it's final form my inner artist revelled in creating 3 beautiful glass masterpieces (in the eye of the beholder). Faerie has a wealth of experience and easy going teaching style to guide you step by step through the process. In my case, she also had to step in and "save the day" a few times which she did graciously and effortlessly. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon of fun, learning and creating! We will be back.
